TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 28. Large enterprises in Uzbekistan produced about 332,600 tons of sugar from January through June this year, Trend reports.
According to official data, during this period, large enterprises in the country increased their production volume by 7.9 percent compared to the first half of last year.
Furthermore, large enterprises in Uzbekistan produced 67,400 tons of sugar in June alone.
In general, Uzbekistan's enterprises produced 657,600 tons of sugar last year, while the growth rate compared to the corresponding period of 2021 was 10.4 percent.
Sugar production in Uzbekistan plays a key role in the development of agriculture and the creation of jobs for the population, as well as contributing to maintaining stability in the economy and ensuring food security in the country.
