TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 27. Uzbekistan automotive sector has demonstrated significant growth with the production of approximately 200,000 cars over the past seven months, Trend reports.
Notably, the brand Cobalt has emerged as a frontrunner in the industry, boasting an impressive production count of 55,968 units.
During this reporting period, the UzAuto Motors enterprise has been the driving force behind this surge in production. The company has successfully manufactured a range of car models, contributing to the overall production figures. The breakdown of their production includes:
- Cobalt: 55,968 units
- Lacetti-Gentra: 44,179 units
- Damas: 43,497 units
- Tracker: 19,736 units
- Onyx: 13,525 units
- Nexia T-250: 2,133 units
- Special passenger cars: 12,748 units
Currently, UzAuto Motors exports cars to countries such as Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, etc.
In 2022, Uzbekistan produced 327,639 Chevrolet Cars, in particular, Chevrolet Cobalt –101,617 cars, Chevrolet Damas – 93,120, Chevrolet Lacetti – 87,105, Chevrolet Nexia – 22,245, Chevrolet Spark – 14,464, as well as Chevrolet Tracker – 9,088.
