The U.S. and UK will be punished for causing unrests and destabilization in Syria, Deputy head of f the Joint Chiefs of Staff, brigadier general Masoud Jazayeri said, ISNA reported.
Jazayeri noted that the regional countries who have also participated in causing unrests in Syria, should be punished as well.
More than 9,000 people have been killed in Syria since the breakout of a popular uprising against country's president Assad in March 2011, the UN has estimated.
The Syrian authorities blame the unrest on "armed terrorist gangs" affiliated with al-Qaeda.
