In Iran 9,200,000 barrels of oil and gas are produced per day, ISNA cited head of Iran's Institute for International Energy Studies Ali Mobini as saying.
Mobini made the remarks in Iran at a meeting entitled "Transformation of problems in the oil industry into opportunities".
He added that Iran uses about 6,200,000 barrels.
While comparing exports of 2015 and 2016, Mobini stressed that export of crude oil increased from 1.84 percent to 3.21 percent.
"The final consumption of fuel in the transport sector increased by 4.8 percent in 2016 compared to 2015,” Mobini added. “The volume of petrochemicals increased by 14.26 percent during the reporting period. This shows that the economy is developing."
