Iran aims to expand joint investments with Iraq

TEHRAN, Iran, May 31

Iran has a considerable trade volume with Iraq, and the country held talks in this regard with Iraqi Finance Minister, which has to do with development of trade relations, said Iranian Minister of Economy Farhad Dejpasand, Trend reports via ILNA.

"Iran and Iraq have good capacity for joint investments. Iranian and Iraqi investors are active both in Iran and Iraq, and our policy is work towards increasing the trade volume," he said.

Dejpasand added tat Iran held fruitful discussions with Iraq regarding the customs issues.

He also pointed out that Iran and Iraq discussed the railway connections, in terms of passenger and cargo transportation.

"Iran's export volume has increased by 48 percent in the first two months of the current Iranian year (started March 21,2021), compared to same period last Iranian year (started March 20,2020)," he said.
