Iran shares data on foreign trade via Mazandaran Province

Mazandaran Customs Administration Managing Director said the volume of foreign trade via Mazandaran provinces customs was more than 3.45 million tons worth 1.098 billion.

The province's ports have a total capacity of 13 million tones per year, Ali Yousefi Manesh said, Trend reports citing the official website of Iran's Customs Administration.

In 2020, the share of exports was 745,000 tons worth $181 million and the share of imports was 2.707 million tons of goods worth $917 million.

He went on to announce the capacity of each port of the Mazandaran Province, including Amirabad port with the capacity of 7.5 million tons, Nowshahr with 4.5 million tons, and Fereydunkenar with one million tons.

Yousefi Manesh said that 252,000 tons of goods worth $55 million were exported from the province's customs to 34 countries and 785,000 tons of goods worth $323 million were imported into these ports.

Mazandaran province has three maritime customs of Amirabad, Fereydunkenar, and Nowshahr and two other customs in Sari and Amol.

Regarding the province's export items he stated that in 2020, dairy products, cement, agricultural products, minerals and plastics, kiwi, etc. were exported to 37 countries, including Russia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and the UAE.

He added that 22 items have been imported from 28 countries during this period, of which barley, corn, oil, oilseeds, and wheat were the main imported goods from Russia, UAE, Turkey, Germany, and Kazakhstan into the Mazandaran Province ports.
