TEHRAN, Iran, April 23. Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development announced a plan to build 40 new cities in 14 provinces of the country, Trend reports citing Mehr.
Rostam Ghasemi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development attended a meeting with the Executive Headquarters of Imam's Order on the issues of National Housing Movement progress and the building of new cities.
According to the Minister, National Housing Action Plan aims to provide 600,000 residential units in those new cities.
Omid Civil Development Company, affiliated with the Executive Headquarters of Imam's Order, signed an MoU with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development to build 100,000 residential units, of which 29,500 units have been built so far.
