Families affected by disaster in Eastern Georgia, will receive compensation from Aug.1, President's spokesperson Manana Manjgaladze said at a traditional briefing on Tuesday.
She said the process of compensation of payment will be completed by Aug.15.
"Payment of compensation funds will probably start in early August, when the Health Ministry will receive the final lists from Kakheti. Presumably, payments will be completed by Aug.15," Manjgaladze said.
The state budget will allocate 50 million lari ($ 1 = 1.65 lari) to pay compensations. Depending on the degree of damage, family will receive from 300 to 1,500 lari.
The Georgian parliament approved amendments to the budget on Wednesday, according to which the funds for payment of compensations and restoration of infrastructure will amount to 162 million lari.
