First Lady of Georgia Sandra Roelofs has seen 17 Azerbaijani children home from the Tbilisi railway station on Monday.

A charity event for the group of Azerbaijani and Georgian children with special needs was held during September 1 - 11. It was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

"In Georgia, Azerbaijani children had a great time, they do not even want to go home. They fell in love with our country, and I am glad that the children were able to rest well during the program, which I and First Lady of Azerbaijan supervise," Roelofs said, stressing that she is very glad that this program has been implemented.

Azerbaijani children and people accompanying them were in Georgia for 10 days, and Georgian delegation of 16 people, in turn, stayed in Azerbaijan during this time.

The Azerbaijani children visited the Museum of Art, the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum, a variety of parks in Tbilisi and visited other cities of Georgia.

This charity event for children with special needs is implemented on the initiative of the First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and First Lady of Georgia Sandra Roelofs for the second year.
All the expenses of the delegation during the trip were paid by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
