Some 50 polling station will be established in Georgia’s representative offices abroad for voting in the presidential election, Georgian Foreign Minister, Maia Panjikidze told journalists on Friday.

Some 50 polling station will be established in Georgia's representative offices abroad for voting in the presidential election, Georgian Foreign Minister, Maia Panjikidze told journalists on Friday.

According to her, electoral commissions have been already equipped everywhere, and the lists of voters was specified.

All persons who wished to be registered, were provided with such an opportunity and in comparison to the previous year the registration process was significantly simplified, the Georgian Foreign Minister said.

She expressed hope that voting at polling stations abroad will be held peacefully, fairly and democratically.

Panjikidze also commented on the arrival of numerous observers to the country. According to her, the elections will be observed by over 700 observers, including experts from Qatar. The Foreign Minister expressed satisfaction with such a large amount of observers.

The presidential election will be held on October 27.
