Turkmenistan exported $13.5 million worth of petroleum and petroleum oils to Georgia in October 2021, which is an increase of 206.8 percent, compared to $4.4 million over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
However, the same amount decreased by 34.1 percent, compared to $20.5 million worth of petroleum and petroleum oils imported to Georgia in September 2021.
Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from Turkmenistan from January through October 2021 amounted to $152.9 million, which is an increase of 175.9 percent, compared to $55.4 million over the same period of 2020.
Thus, Turkmenistan became the main exporter of petroleum and petroleum oils to Georgia over the first 10 months of 2021, followed by Azerbaijan ($113.1 million) and Russia ($104.5 million).
Meanwhile, Georgia’s total imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from January through October 2021 amounted to 1 million tons worth $651.9 million.
