The foreign trade turnover between Georgia and Kazakhstan from January through October 2021 increased by 26 percent, compared to $70.2 million over the same period of 2020, and amounted to $88.5 million, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
Kazakhstan’s imports from Georgia over the reporting period of 2021 amounted to $72.1 million, which is an increase of 71.3 percent, compared to $42.1 million over the same period of 2020.
According to Geostat, the share of Kazakhstan in total imports from Georgia in the reporting period of 2021 accounted for 2.1 percent.
Thus, Kazakhstan ranks 9 in total Georgia’s export partners from January through October 2021, the report said.
Meanwhile, Georgia’s imports from Kazakhstan over the first 10 months of 2021 totaled $16.1 million, which is a decrease of 42.5 percent, compared to $28 million worth of imports over the same period of 2020.
