Money transfers from Georgia from January through December 2021 amounted to $316.7 million, which is an increase of 28.8 percent, compared to $245.7 million over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
The same index also increased by 15.8 percent, compared to the reporting period of 2019, when $237.3 million was transferred from Georgia.
According to the report, money outflow from Georgia only in December 2021 totaled $33.3 million, which is an increase of 5 percent, compared to $31.7 million in November 2021, and an increase of 35.3 percent, compared to $24.6 million in December 2020.
The current figure also increased by 30.5 percent, compared to December 2019 ($25.5 million).
Meanwhile, the volume of remittances inflow to Georgia from January through December 2021 amounted to $2.3 billion, compared to $2.1 billion over 2020.
