BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Georgia’s total trade turnover with Azerbaijan from January through May 2022 significantly increased, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).
Georgia’s total trade turnover with Azerbaijan in the first five months of 2022 amounted to $539.9 million, which is an increase of 32.4 percent compared to $407.6 million in the same period of 2021.
According to the statistics, Georgia’s imports from Azerbaijan in the reporting period totaled $315.8 million - a significant increase of 48.8 percent compared to the same period of last year ($212.1 million).
Georgia’s exports to Azerbaijan from January through May 2022 totaled $224.1 million, which is an increase of 14.6 percent compared to $195.4 million in the reporting period of 2021.
