Police in Yemen have captured an 11-member al-Qaeda cell in a raid on a house in the capital, Sana'a, the Defence Ministry's newspaper reported Thursday.
The weekly, named September 26, said the raid was carried out in the Sawad Hanash neighbourhood, DPA reported.
It said the father of one member of the cell was killed in a shootout with police during the arrest of his son.
A policeman was injured in the firefight, it said.
