Egyptian General Prosecutor Abdel Majid Mahmoud ordered on Wednesday to ban former Prime Minister Atef Ebeid, former culture minister Farouq Hosney, head of Egyptian TV and radio union Usamah El Shiekh and nine businessmen from traveling abroad, state TV said, Xinhua reported.
Ebeid was also former President Hosni Mubarak's personal financial advisor and one of the architects of the country's privatization project.
The list of businessmen included the head of the industrial development authority and the head of productive farmer's union, among others.
Former Interior Minister Habib el-Adly and Former Tourism Minister Zuheir Garana were referred to Cairo's criminal court on Monday, accused of squandering public funds and money laundry. They had been previously banned from traveling and their assets had been frozen.
Egypt has entered a period of transition, governed by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, after Mubarak resigned on Feb. 11, amid nationwide protests, which caused around 365 deaths.
