Security has been beefed up around Egypt's tourist sites following the death of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, security officials said Monday, DPA reported.
Additional security measures were enforced in the tourist city of Luxor specifically, where a terrorist attack claimed the lives of around 60 people in 1997.
The security source said that the security measures had been taken in response to the announcement of bin Laden's death.
