The Saudi embassy in Beirut warned its citizens to avoid the city centre after a prince was attacked by a group of youths over a parking space, local radio reported Monday.
The Voice of Lebanon quoted embassy sources as saying the youths beat up a Saudi prince in late September after he refused to abide by the order of a policeman to move his vehicle from a no-parking zone, DPA reported.
Beirut's luxurious shopping area is a main attraction for Arab tourists, especially Saudis, many of whom spend summer vacations in Lebanon.
