(Interfax) - Ukraine expects a positive response to its request to join the NATO Membership Action Plan, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko told diplomats in Kyiv on Thursday.
She reminded them that the Ukrainian president, premier and speaker have sent a letter to the NATO secretary general asking for affiliation to the Membership Action Plan.
"We have sent the letter and expect the Bucharest summit to give a positive answer," Tymoshenko said.
