Turkish official for EU talks discusses ties with Czechs

Turkey's chief negotiator for EU talks started to hold a series of talks in the Czech capital of Prague on Thursday.

As part of his formal visit to the Czech Republic which currently holds the EU's rotating presidency, Turkish State Minister & Chief Negotiator for EU Talks Egemen Bagis met with Turkish and Czech businessmen over breakfast at the Turkish Embassy in Prague, reported World bulletin.

In addition to businessmen from the two countries, Turkey's Secretary General for EU Affairs ambassador Oguz Demiralp and co-chairs of the Turkish-Czech Business Council attended the gathering organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK).

During the meeting, Turkish Ambassador in Prague Koray Targay made a presentation on the commercial relations between Turkey and the Czech Republic, moreover, participants discussed the ways to improve bilateral relations.

Bagis is scheduled to hold talks with Czech deputy prime ministers Tomas Pojar and Alexandr Vondra, as well as Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg on Thursday.
