Turkey’s all attempts to normalize relations with Armenia to be ineffective – deputy PM
Baku, Azerbaijan, May 22
By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:
All attempts of Turkey to normalize the relations with Armenia will bring no results, TRT Haber TV channel reported May 22 citing Turkish deputy Prime Minister Yalcin Akdogan.
Turkey has repeatedly expressed readiness to create a joint commission to investigate the 1915 events, but the Armenian side ignores this proposal, he added.
Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey's predecessor, the Ottoman Empire allegedly carried out "genocide" against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. Turkey in turn has always denied "the genocide" took place. While strengthening the efforts to promote the "genocide" in the world, Armenians have achieved its recognition by the parliaments of some countries.
