In September 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Kazakhstan through ports of Turkey amounted to 15,796 tons, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The ministry noted that in September, no cargo was transported through Turkish ports from Kazakhstan by ships flying the Turkish flag.
According to the ministry, in September 2019, the volume of cargo transshipment from Kazakhstan by vessels flying the Kazakh flag amounted to 2,750 tons, while vessels flying flags of other countries carried 13,046 tons of cargo.
Furthermore, in September 2019, 839 tons of cargo were shipped from Kazakhstan in transit through ports of Turkey.
In total, 260.1 million tons of cargo were transshipped in Turkish ports in September 2019.
Over the mentioned period, vessels flying the Turkish flag transshipped 21.0 million tons of cargo, while vessels flying the flag of their country – 12.1 million tons, and the vessels flying the flag of other countries – 226.9 million tons of cargo.
