Number of Chinese companies registered in Turkey disclosed

Seventeen companies with Chinese capital were registered in Turkey from January through February 2020, unchanged as compared to the same period last year, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey told Trend.

The total capital of Chinese companies registered in Turkey from January through February 2020 amounted to 4.918 million Turkish liras, as compared to 3.442 million Turkish liras for the same period in 2019.

Most Chinese companies were registered in Istanbul (16 companies) with a combined capital of 1.918 million Turkish liras from January through February 2020.

Four of the companies with Chinese capital registered in Turkey from January through February 2020 operate in industrial sphere, three are in the field of wholesale and retail trade and six are in the sphere of sale of real estate.

"The remaining four companies with Chinese capital are involved in other sectors of the economy," the TOBB said.

The total capital of three wholesale and retail companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 720,000 liras, said the organization.
