Turkey reveals fuel oil shipment figures via its ports over 9M2020

Over 2.25 million tons of fuel oil were transshipped through the ports of Turkey from January through September 2020, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.

During the specified period, 48,187 tons of fuel oil through the ports of Turkey were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag, 2.2 million tons - by ships flying the flags of other countries.

Meanwhile, 435,579 tons of fuel oil were handled in transit through Turkish ports.

From January through September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 270.57 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 21.72 million tons, under the flags of their countries - 10.05 million tons, and under the flags of other countries - 238.79 million tons.

During this period, 54.49 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

In September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 31.17 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.76 million tons, by ships flying the flags of their countries - 1.01 million tons, and under the flags of other countries - 27.40 million tons.

According to the ministry, in September 2020, 6.23 million tons of cargo were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey.
