As many as 28,457 vehicles were delivered from the Turkish port of Yalova to the French port of Sete from January through September 2021, and 31,881 in the opposite direction, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
Thus, the number of cars transported between the two ports during this period amounted to 60,338 vehicles.
Turkish ports handled over 1.5 million vehicles in the first nine months of 2021.
It is reported that Ro-Ro ships delivered 933,445 vehicles to Turkish ports during the reporting period.
Some 572,609 vehicles were sent from the ports of Turkey by Ro-Ro ships in 9M2021.
Turkish ports handled a total of 160,501 vehicles in September of this year. In this month, Ro-Ro ships delivered 107,192 vehicles to Turkish ports.
At the same time, 53,309 cars were sent from Turkish ports.
