BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. The ports of Turkey handled 1.3 million tons of cargo from Algeria from January through February 2022, Trend reports citing the press service of the Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry.
According to the ministry, ships flying the Turkish flag delivered 47,096 tons of cargo from Algeria to local ports, and ships flying the flags of other countries were 847,969 tons.
Algerian-flagged vessels delivered 504,384 tons of cargo to Turkish ports during this period.
Turkish ports handled 97,182 tons of transit cargo from Algeria from January through February 2022.
The ports of Turkey handled 31.1 million tons of cargo in February 2022.
Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.2 million tons during the specified period.
