BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. Turkish ports received over 1.794 million tons of cargo from Germany from January through November 2023, Trend reports.
The Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure noted that ships flying the flag of Türkiye delivered 22,162 tons of cargo to the country's ports from Germany, and ships flying the flags of other countries - 1,771,535 tons.
During this period, ships flying the German flag delivered 806 tons of cargo to Turkish ports.
Meanwhile, 267,090 tons of transit cargo were transported to Turkish ports from Germany.
In November 2023, Turkish ports totally received more than 29 million tons of cargo. Cargo flow to the ports on ships flying the Turkish flag totaled 2.42 million tons during this time period.
Cargo transportation by vessels under the flags of other countries to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 26.58 million tons.
Furthermore, Turkish ports handled 4.49 million tons of transit goods in October 2023.
The data from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure showed that Türkiye's ports received 355.3 million tons of cargo from January through November 2023 (ships under Türkiye's flag delivered 26.47 million tons, and those under the flags of other countries - 328.8 million tons).
Furthermore, 61.49 million tons of transit cargo were handled by Turkish ports in the above period.
In general, the ports of Türkiye received 4,309 vessels (under the flags of other countries - 2,911 and under the flag of Türkiye - 1,398) in November of this year.
The Turkish ports received 55,495 vessels, including 37,749 under the flags of other countries and 17,746 under the Turkish flag, from January through November 2023.
Türkiye's ports received 394.09 million tons of cargo in 2022.
