President’s advisor: Syrian opposition created by Turkey and Saudi Arabia

The so-called Syrian opposition was created by the neighbouring countries of Turkey and Saudi Arabia, adviser to the Syrian president Buseyn Shaaban said in an interview on the Russia Today TV channel on Wednesday.

By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend: The so-called Syrian opposition was created by the neighbouring countries of Turkey and Saudi Arabia, adviser to the Syrian president Buseyn Shaaban said in an interview on the Russia Today TV channel on Wednesday.

According to Shaaban, there are groups and gangs created by third forces in Syria, rather than the opposition.

During the conflict in Syria, which began in March 2011, over 115, 000 people have been killed and over 4.2 million have become refugees in Syria and two million have fled to neighbouring countries. Most refugees flee to Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. The total population of Syria before the conflict was 20 million.
