Russia will put pressure on Belarus till the Kremlin conducts the current policy of recognition of Georgian separatist regions.
So, before the today's governmental meeting, Georgian State Minister for Reintegration Temur Yakobashvili responded to the statement by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who reminded the president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko that he promised leaders of CIS countries to recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
"Russia will always put pressure on all countries to recognize the independence of the occupied territories. But I do not think it will bring results. Regarding promises, Medvedev said that Russia will become a democratic country, but he does not keep it," Yakobashvili said.
