Turkish Prime Minister: Turkey does not believe ceasefire in Syria

Turkey does not believe in the ceasefire in Syria, but nevertheless Ankara is monitoring the situation and continues to attract world attention to the Syrian crisis, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, TRT Haber channel reported.

"Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is trying to buy time. It is the reason why Turkey does not believe in a ceasefire in the country," Erdogan said.

Currently there is a truce between the armed wing of the opposition, the free Syrian army and government troops in accordance with the Annan plan. The Western media with reference to local activists and human rights activists reported that the Syrian army has repeatedly violated the ceasefire.

Syria has been covered by anti-government speeches for more than year resulting in violent clashes. According to UN figures, the total number of victims in the country exceeds 9000. In its turn, the Syrian authorities say the number of those killed in clashes were over 2000soldiers and police officers against whom there are well-armed militants.Turkish Prime Minister: Turkey does not believe ceasefire in Syria
