Azerbaijan, Baku, April 3 / Trend, E.Tariverdiyeva /
The U.S. does not possess enough valid information that backs claims of Israeli access in Azerbaijan airfield, State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland said at a daily press briefing in Washington.
"I don't have any information to indicate that the reports that are out there have any basis in fact," Nuland said.
The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has denied information disseminated by the foreign media outlets earlier about offering any airfields on its territory for foreign countries' usage.
Several Israeli media outlets with reference to Foreign Policy journal reported that Azerbaijan has allegedly provided its airfield near the border with Iran to Israel.
The Defense Ministry said there is no reason for this information, and it is wrong and fiction.
Azerbaijan's territory has not been used and will never be used for any action against Iran, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department Chief Ali Hasanov told journalists earlier.
