BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 23. The second day of the 9th FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup competitions has started at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Trend reports.

On this day, qualifying competitions in the individual program will be held - the graces will demonstrate exercises with hoops and a ribbon. There will also be a qualification of teams in group exercises, which will present a program with three ribbons and two balls. Based on the results of the qualification, the finalists for individual events will be determined.

Meanwhile, the names of the winners and in the all-around, individual and group exercises will be announced.

The FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is being held in Baku from April 22 through April 24.

Some 130 athletes from 31 countries, including 42 individual and 84 group gymnasts (14 groups), are taking part in the competition.

Azerbaijan is being represented in the individual program by Arzu Jalilova and Zohra Aghamirova, while Gullu Aghalarzade, Laman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Zeynab Hummatova, Yelyzaveta Luzan and Darya Sorokina are performing within the team in group exercises.

During the three-day competitions, gymnasts will compete in the All-Around and apparatus finals. Traditionally, AGF Trophy Cup will be presented to the gymnast and team in group exercises that received the highest execution score from the judges at the World Cup.

After a two-year break, spectators will be able to watch the competitions at National Gymnastics Arena due to easing measures under a special quarantine regime.

People participating in the competitions as spectators must have a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate or immune certificate, a certificate of contraindications to COVID-19 vaccine except for people under the age of 18.
