The all-republican conference В"Press language in Azerbaijan: problems and solutionsВ" is taking place in the first decade of October in Baku, Trend reports with reference to Press Council.
Press Council decided to lead such a conference at the session of language commission. The session also discussed creation of Native Language Movement. This session, featured with presence of famous linguists, experts and media representatives, stated the necessity in such a movement conditioned by bringing poor press language to compliance to standards.
The following persons were performing with speeches regarding the current media language and its problems and solutions: Press Council Chairman Aflatun Amashov, presiding Commissioner Professor Kamil Veli Narimanoglu, Deputy Chairman of Press Council Professor Gulu Maherramov and so. The session has decided to lead a course of lectures on current state of native language in various spheres.
