Milk production in Azerbaijan increased by 1.7 percent from January through October 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing a report of the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, milk production in Azerbaijan in the first 10 months of 2020 amounted to 1.78 million tons.
In the first ten months of 2020, 20.379 tons of butter were produced in the country, which is 1.9 percent more compared to the same period of 2019.
At the same time, over 1.61 billion eggs were produced, an increase of 5.5 percent year on year.
The volume of agricultural production in actual prices during the specifying period amounted to 7.48 billion manat ($4.4 billion), having risen by 1.6 percent over the year.
According to the report, production in the livestock sector over the mentioned period increased by 3 percent, to 3.63 billion manat ($2.13 billion), and in the field of crop production - by 0.2 percent to 3.85 billion manat ($2.26 billion).
