Azerbaijan ranks second among Iran’s car exports

Iran exported about $1.16 million worth of cars to Azerbaijan in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

According to Latifi, Azerbaijan ranked second in Iran’s car exports in the last Iranian year.

He added that Iran exported a total of 1,570 cars worth $5.72 million to nine countries in the last Iranian year.

The spokesman stressed that Iran exported $3.12 million worth of cars to Iraq and $981,000 worth to Syria in the last Iranian year.

"In addition, Iran exported $116,000 worth of cars to Hong Kong, $96,300 worth to Spain, $79,500 worth to Taiwan, $36,600 worth to China, $7,000 worth to Turkey and $4,660 worth to the UAE," he said.

Latifi noted that Saina car accounted for 90 percent of Iran’s total car exports in the last Iranian year. The exports of Pride, Tiba, Quick, Samand, Pars, Peugeot 207, Haima and Dena cars accounted for only 10 percent of total exports.
