Georgia talks about funds mobilized as result of privatization

As a result of privatization, 27.2 million lari ($8.2 million) became available for the budget of the Tbilisi City Hall, statistics for for 9 months of 2020 say, Trend reports via Georgian media.

During the reporting period, the capital's government managed to get the largest proceeds from the sale of land. In particular, according to the Tbilisi City Hall, 3 million lari ($909,841) were received from the sale of fixed assets, 239,400 lari ($72,605) - from the sale of tangible assets and 23.9 million lari ($7.2 million) - from the sale of non-produced property (land).

The mobilization of 27 million lari ($8.1 million) from privatization in 9 months means the fulfillment of 56.8 percent of the annual plan, since according to the budget of Tbilisi for 2020, it was planned to receive 48 million lari ($14.5 million) from privatization.

The Tbilisi City Hall government predicts the mobilization of 820.1 million lari ($248.7 million) into the budget by 2021, which is about 13 million lari ($3.9 million) less than this year.

According to the project, the main source of self-financing for next year will be tax revenues, which are set at 657.3 million lari ($199.3 million), which is 66 million lari ($20.01 million) more than in 2020.
