The member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) exported 545,200 tons of wheat to Azerbaijan from January through August 2021, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission.
According to the information, the volume of exported wheat in value terms amounted to $133.6 million.
It is also noted that the exported volume accounted for 23.8 percent less than the same period last year.
It is reported that 95.5 percent of the volume of wheat exported to Azerbaijan fell on Russia – 520,600 tons. The remaining volume was exported by Kazakhstan – 24,000 tons.
The EAEU countries from January to August 2021 exported to Azerbaijan products worth $319.6 billion, which is 38.5 percent more than in the same period in 2020.
