BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6. The decision to resume exchange trading in diesel fuel in Kazakhstan will be made after the stabilization of situation in the market, Chairman of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition Marat Omarov said during the VIII Eurasian Antimonopoly Forum, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

“The decision to suspend trading in diesel fuel was made by the Exchange Committee in August due to the lack of this resource at certain sites. As the situation on the diesel fuel market stabilizes and as the harvesting campaign is now coming to an end, we’ll receive relevant information from the Ministry of Energy,” Omarov said.

“After that, we’ll consider the information in the Exchange Committee. If the situation stabilizes and we see positive dynamics, we’ll make a decision to resume the trading tentatively in November and early December,” he noted.

At the end of August, the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition revealed facts of exceeding the marginal prices for diesel fuel and unjustified refusals to sell the fuel to citizens of Kazakhstan. The Exchange Committee under the agency decided to suspend exchange trading to stabilize prices for diesel fuel.
