BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. The largest share of loans issued in February 2022 in Azerbaijan fell on households, accounting for 50.9 percent of total lending, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to the CBA, the volume of loans issued to households amounted to 8.948 billion manat ($5.26 billion), increasing by 2.17 billion manat ($1.27 billion), or 32.15 percent on annual basis.

Meanwhile, lending to trade and services increased over the year by 527 million manat ($310.18 million), or 20.9 percent, up to 3.039 billion manat ($1.78 billion) against 2.512 billion manat ($1.47 billion) in February 2021. The share of trade and services in the total volume of lending amounted to 17.3 percent.

In general lending to the real sector of the Azerbaijani economy in February 2022 grew by 2.968 billion manat ($1.7 billion), or 20.3 percent on annual basis, from 14.6 billion manat ($8.6 billion) to 17.58 billion manat ($10.3 billion).
