BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. Azerbaijan's state budget expenditures (according to operational data) increased in 2022, Trend reports via the Ministry of Finance.
According to the ministry, this figure reached 32.06 billion manat ($18.86 billion), up by 4.64 million manat ($2.73 million) or 16.9 percent compared to 2021.
The forecast for state budget expenditures was fulfilled by 99.3 percent.
In the structure of state budget expenditures, 17.7 billion manat ($10.4 billion) accounted for current expenditures, which is 1.15 billion manat ($680 million) or 6.9 percent more than in 2021, 12.5 billion manat ($7.3 billion) - capital expenditures, up by 3.89 billion manat ($2.29 million) or 45.1 percent, 1.79 billion manat ($1.05 billion) - servicing public debt and obligations, which is a decrease of 408.4 million manat ($240.2 million) or 18.6 percent.
Last year, 11.57 billion manat ($6.8 billion) was allocated from the state budget to finance social expenditure (wage fund, pensions and social benefits, purchase of medicines and food), up by 1.28 billion manat ($750 million) or 12.4 percent n annual basis.
Azerbaijan's state budget expenditures reached 27.4 billion manat ($16.1 billion) in 2021, which was 996.2 million manat ($586 million) or 3.8 percent more than in 2020.
The forecast for state budget expenditure was fulfilled by 96 percent.
