Uzbekistan Airways increases the number of regular flights from Tashkent to Dushanbe, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekistan Airways.
According to the information, starting from April 3, flights from Tashkent to Dushanbe will be operated twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
In February 2021, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan discussed the opening of ground checkpoints on the border of two states, which were closed due to the spread of COVID-19 infection.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reported that the land borders between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan may be open for the Novruz holiday (March 21).
In January 2021, it was reported that flights between the capitals of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were resumed.
Since then flights between Tashkent and Dushanbe operate once a week by the national airline of Uzbekistan - Uzbekistan Airways and the airline of the Tajikistan - Somon Air LLC.
