Turkmenistan assists in sending express train from Turkey to Uzbekistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25

Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan (TULM) Open Joint-Stock Company promotes the dispatch of the first freight express train from Turkey to Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.

Thus, the train left the Bogazkopru Station in Istanbul (Turkey) and arrived at the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi of Turkmenistan.

The cargo is reported to be 25 40-foot containers.

In the future, TULM plans to combine all transit containers at the container terminal of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and send them by express train to neighboring countries such as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.

As reported, earlier, Turkmenistan exported polypropylene to China through the territory of Kazakhstan along the North-South Railway Route for the first time ever.

Also, multimodal transport and logistics company JSC KTZ Express of Kazakhstan together with DHL China carried out transportation of 300 John Deere agricultural combines to Turkmenistan.
