Volume of cargo loaded-unloaded in Iran’s Anzali port increases

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 25 percent in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), compared to the 2nd month (April 21 through May 21, 2021), Trend reports the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 150,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the third month. Of this, 41,800 tons were loaded and 109,000 tons were unloaded.

While in the second month of the current Iranian year, a total of 120,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port.

“In addition, 39,100 tons of cargo were exported and 108,000 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month,” the statistics said.

Also, 2,770 tons of cargo were loaded and 171 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as, 747 tons of cargo were loaded for other purposes in the third month, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 93,400 tons of essential products, 344 tons of metal products, 21,200 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,100 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 8,440 tons of chemicals, 20,400 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 22 tons of small and assorted products, 5,430 tons of container products and 141 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month, according to the statistics.

As reported, about 11.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the third month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.53 million tons were loaded and 4.93 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 9.4 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
