The Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after Saparmurat Niyazov [first president of Turkmenistan] launched manufacturing of laundry soaps, Trend reports citing turkmenportal.com.
For this, a new workshop was commissioned at the enterprise, which has already produced 9,100 units of these products weighing 150 grams each and put them up for sales in the local market.
Traditionally, the plant produces mineral fertilizers, sulfuric acid and oxygen, but also plans to further expand the product line in accordance with the needs of the domestic market.
So, until 2024, the plant is planning to build a new workshop for the production of concentrated phosphorus.
The plant located in Turkmenabat city is the only production facility in Turkmenistan for the production of phosphorus fertilizers necessary to increase the yield of cotton, grain and other agricultural crops. It was commissioned back in 1960. In the same year, the first workshop of the enterprise for the production of sulfuric acid was launched. In April 1961, the production of single superphosphate with a capacity of 247,000 tons per year was started.
