BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. The volume of cultivated areas for potatoes in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan has been published, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
Peasant associations and farms of the Lebap region have sown 1400 hectares of spring potato varieties this year, from which they plan to harvest 19,600 tons of crop.
Sowing was carried out according to the norms of agricultural technology, which in turn led to the systematic germination of this crop.
At the same time, potatoes are grown in 9 districts of the region. Thus, potatoes occupy the most areas in the Charjew district, in which this crop grows on 400 hectares.
