BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 29. The complex of garment factories located in the city of Makhtumkuli of the Balkan region in the west of Turkmenistan significantly exceeded the production plan from January through June 2022, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
During this period, the complex manufactured 16,000 pairs of shoes and 255,100 pieces of sewn and knitted clothing. As a result, the production plan at the enterprises was exceeded by 84 percent.
In value terms, production amounted to 10.2 million Turkmen manats ($2.9 million).
In general, over the years of Turkmenistan's independence, about $2 billion has been invested in the construction of new and reconstruction of existing textile enterprises.
