BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 24. The number of visitors from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan for January 2022 has been published, Trend reports via the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
According to the information, in the specified month, the number of visitors from Turkmenistan amounted to about 1,500 people, which is more than 5 times higher than the figure for the same month last year (297 people).
Furthermore, according to the agency, Turkmenistan entered the top 15 countries in terms of the number of visitors to Azerbaijan in January 2023.
During this period, 119,094 foreigners visited Azerbaijan, which is 61 percent more than in the same period last year (74,057).
Meanwhile, over 11,188 citizens of Turkmenistan visited Azerbaijan last year, which is more than 4 times more than in 2021 (2,738 people).
