Uzbekistan’s 10M2020 volume of market services disclosed

The volume of market services provided from January through October 2020 in Uzbekistan reached 177,997 billion soums ($17.1 million), and the nominal volume increased by 18,600 billion soums (1.79 million), Trend reports citing State Statistics Committee.

The growth rate of market services provided for the reported amounted to 2.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

The largest share in the structure of provided market services by type of economic activity fell on trade services, which amounted to 26.1 percent. At the same time, high rates were noted for transport (24.3 percent), financial services (21.3 percent), and communication and information services (5.9 percent).

A slight increase in volumes was noted in the healthcare sector, the share of services in which it reached only 1.4 percent. Also, a low share was recorded in the provision of services for the repair of computers and household goods - 1.5 percent, for rental and rental services - 1.9 percent, as well as in the field of architecture, engineering surveys, technical testing, and analysis - 2.2 percent.

High growth was noted in financial services (28.5 percent), communication and information services (15.4 percent), and trade services (1 percent). As for all other types of activity related to the service sector, there is a decrease in growth rates compared to the same period last year.

A significant reduction in the volume of market services provided was noted in the sphere of accommodation and food services (by 15.8 percent). Along with this, there was a decrease in healthcare services (12.1 percent), transport services (8.5 percent), individual services (7.7 percent), and computer repair services (6.8 percent).

The volume of services related to real estate also decreased (6.6 percent), as well as in the field of architecture, engineering research, technical testing, and analysis (5.6 percent).
