South Korean companies are considering Uzbekistan for the supply of agricultural products, in particular, fruits and vegetables, Trend reports with reference to Uzbek embassy in South Korea.
The mentioned issue was considered during discussions of prospects for cooperation in the field of increasing the volume of exports of Uzbek agricultural products to the South Korean market at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea.
The head of the South Korean DAU company Min Byong Il informed that the main activity of DAU is the supply of agricultural and marine products from abroad for South Korean consumers.
Currently, the DAU company, together with its partners - Mirae Bio Pharma and GAP Trading Co., Ltd., is developing a new model for the supply of foreign agricultural products to the South Korean market and Uzbekistan is considered one of the key countries for cooperation.
In this regard, South Korean companies have expressed their intention to analyze potential types of agricultural products for export, in particular fruits and vegetables, in Uzbekistan.
During the negotiations, Uzbek side provided detailed information on the potential supply of agricultural products to the South Korean market, as well as the work carried out by the quarantine services of the parties to provide a phytosanitary permit for the export of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan.
In turn, the Korean side presented commercial proposals of domestic companies ready to supply these types of products to the South Korean market.
