Iran's Ministry of Road and Urban Development plans to renovate transportation fleet, said the Minister of Road and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
"More than 55,000 trucks are older than 40 years and has safety issues and high fuel consumption ," said Eslami.
"One of the renovation models includes participation of banks and domestic producers while the owners of vehicles would provide the remaining cost," he said.
"The registration for importing truck models that were manufactured in 2017 and 2018 were filed in, and importers are having their vehicles released from customs," he said.
The official has also indicated the progress of transportation routes and construction of roads.
